Haha... Its been so long since i last updated my blog.. haha.. a lot of dust liao..
Finish final year exams le... graduating le.. haha. But more decisions are to be made after that.. Life is full of obstacles.. Is just a matter of how we deal with it.
Recently the 2 NTU students, some people might say, "what are they thinking, man?". Everyone does things for a purpose. What is their purpose? Why do they wanna do that? A lot of people will say... They are so foolish.. Nothing is impossible... But have you ever thought that if someone was there to listen, to understand and to care for them, will make things better?
I used to think that committing suicide is a very foolish act.. Why must they kill themselves.. so selfish.. never think about their loved ones.. Haha.. But after some thoughts, I find that some things is easier said than done. What if I'm the one thinking of committing suicide? Why do i wan to kill myself? Sometimes, things aren't just go in the way you want it to be. Must be able to learn to accept things, or being rejected.
This year, I realised how much it is so important to cherish what you have now. Be satisfied with what you are and what you have.. Life is so fragile...
Case 1:
My Big Uncle (my mom's big bro) passed away at his own apartment just a few days before 2009. My cousin cried so hard on the phone when i happen to picked up. His passed away was so sudden that it shocked us. No one knew what happen actually.. But according to my Aunty-in-law (his wife), when she reached home, he was already lying on the floor motionlessly. That's when she found that he was dead.
Case 2:
After Chinese New Year, my bf's friend passed away due to organs failure. I happen to knew him a little as i meet him a few times.. He is friendly and helpful.. that's all i can say about him as i don really knew him that well. He went for a heart operation as one or more of his arteries ( i think so) is not functioning well. He went for the operation in december. After the operation, everything seems well.. but no one expected that things start to worsen. His organs starts to fail one after another... He fought till the end..
Case 3:
A week ago, my lower secondary school classmate passed away due to acute leukemia. It was another shocking news when i was informed by my classmates about him. At first he had fever, and was not subsiding.. Doctor thought that he had dengue but it wasn't. He was fighting with the illness for the past 3 months.. He fought hard.. Rest in peace my friend...
Life can be so fragile than you can ever imagine. So, be contented with what you have now.. Cherish everyone around you.. family n friends..
Lastly, I wish everyone all the best in whatever things you are doing.. and take good care of yourself.. Me too.. haha =)

p.s i am using blue pen today.Happy Moments:For the new year celebration, this year we had a sepcial one. We drove our rubber dinghies to Sisters' Island to watch the fireworks.. We set of at abt evening, 6.15pm. We had BBQ on the Island.. This is my last sea trip that i organised.. No more le... Willard, its your turn now! haha.
We went to Marina Barage to watch fireworks.. But it seems like we are not really watching it.. we watched all the other ships and yacht firing their hand flare or those parachute flare into the sky... its so cute! haha... I saw a shooting star... don think my eyes play tricks on me... But i enjoy the night driving...
This is how i spent my chinese new year. The day itself, we went to Raffles lighthouse.. as one of our visiting point.
Sad Moments:My uncle passed away. Today was his last funeral.. We cried... My uncle, he is my brother's godfather.. And my mom and aunties are very close to him.. as he stayed in Ang Mo Kio also.. So we had quite alot of feelings abt him... Farewell Da Jiu...

Day 0 (7/12/08) Singapore to Hanoi - Vietnam
Just after training X for my Round Island Kayaking (RIKE), I'm leaving for Vietnam the next day. Took the flight TR308 at 17:35. Ang's dad came and fetch me to Budget Terminal.
We reach Noi Bai Airport at around 8 plus at night. We took a cab to VegaTravel with US$15, although lonely planet says US$10 will do.. So that day we stayed over at VegaTravel. also have to pay for that la.. haha.. but we haven eat.. so we went out to have our dinner.. although at night, the streets are quite quiet.. and the weather, is quite cooling.. haha..
Day 1 (8/12/08) Hanoi Station to Lao Cai Station
The room looks like this...
We had our breakfast at this restuarant. All of us ate Pho Bo, Ga. It means Beef Rice Noodle (pho bo), Chicken Rice noodle (pho ga). It was delicious. and i realise something... vietnamese like to eat lemon grass... hahaha...
This restuarant seems to be cater to bagpackers.. there are lonely planet and other travel guides inside for u to read..
After that.. we met up with HQ and Johnathan at VegaTravel.. and we start touring around.. too many pics... so lazy to upload...
haha... At night, we had our dinner at the same place as the previous dinner.. We went to Hanoi Train Station to take to Lao Cai Station, which is the last station. It will be an 8 hr journey.. so we sleep on the train..
Day 2 (9/12/08) Lao Cai Station to Sapa Town- Fansipan
We reach Lao Cai at ard 5am in the morning.. It was cold... haha.. We set off to Sapa Town, where our tour agency is. Our tour guide, Name, came and we sat in a van to Sapa town. It was very cold at Sapa Town. We talk with smoke coming out from our mouth.. so cool! haha.. like kids.. fascinated by it... haha.
Name brought us around... we also went to his house that was shared with his friend.. After sometime, we packed our bags and begin our journey to Fansipan. But firstly, we went to Silver Waterfall.. It was nice..
Finally, we reached the foot of Fansipan. We started our climb. We stop over at Camp 1 for our lunch. Then, we carry on to Camp 2 for our overnight stay. The portals cook for us and we had Happy Drink (aka rice wine). it was cold at camp 2.

Day 3 (10/12/08) Fansipan
This day, we woke up late.. haha. Our plan is to go up to the summit and back down to Camp 1 for our overnight stay. Our guide got say tat this day will be a xiong one.. haha.. And was indeed, a xiong one.. it seems like endless upwards climb.. haha.. but worth it..

Day 4 (11/12/08) Fansipan back to Sapa Town
Finally, we finish our trek.. The weather was fine and cooling... i like.. hahah... although came a little unprepared for the weather.. Our van is waiting for us.. and we were being fetch back to our Travel agency to get our belongings. We checked in to our hotel just further down from the agency.. it was a 3 star hotel.. with comfy bed, good scenery and heater!! haha... We had our lunch, as included in the package.. Our dinner, we spend a little more there.. but the stuff were nice.. =)

Day 5 (12/12/08)
This day.. we went trekking again.. haha.. but we trek at the rice field of the minorities... Nice scenery... It was really peaceful (without those kids following u)... Those minorities they follow u for a motive... buy their stuff! hahaha.. i was aware of tat.. but i can't reject.. I'm just too kind.. whoahahaha... We had our lunch, which was prepared by our guide...

At night, we went to Lao Cai Station and took the train back to Hanoi Station... A good bye to Sapa Town...
Day 6 (13/12/08) Halong Bay
We reached Hanoi Train Station... No one picked us up. we were hungry.. so we settled down at a roadside noodle stall... We walked back to VegaTravel from the train Station.. A good Morning Exercise.. haha.. Our next destination is Halong Bay.. was a little disappointed because there is nothing much to do there... haha.. except scenery.. tat's all ba.. we stayed in the boat.. The lunch was nice, but dinner was a little disappointment.. But overall, was ok..

Day 7 (14/12/08)
This day has come.. most of us trying to avoid the reality.. haha.. After coming back from Halong Bay, we went back to the Travel Agency and packed our bags.. We bought our North Face.. Although we did not have much time left.. We had to settle our dinner at the Airport.. haha.. At last, we are back in Singapore.. and Home Sweet Home...
It was a good experience with a nice batch of ppl during this journey.. Thank you HQ for planning it.. =) Hope to have another trip with u guys soon! haha..

Finally, RIKE has ended... Hope those that went for this trip has a memorable one... A very BIG THANK YOU TO KUN HAN, WENG HAO, MICHELLE and ZHIWEI. Thank you guys for helping me make this trip a successful one... Lastly, ANG... He has done alot for this trip... Thank you!! =)
This trip.. was not really easy to plan... Especially dealing with those risk assessment stuff... Really have to Pray a little before the actual expedition.. hahaha... Really, we are blessed with good weather and sea currents... Thank you God..
This is my last Planning trip??! I think so.. Next time will be planning other trips ya? haha.. We shall wait for the next RIKE... hahahaha....

haha... just came back a week ago from Hokkaido.. the trip was great! haha.. at first i thought there were no one around my age... but luckily, there are 2 guys, who are my dad's friend's sons. I came to remember that i went to one of their 21st birthday!! haha. i will show you their pics! hahaha... the one on the left is jia jun.. he is also in SP.. the one on the right is his elder brother, jia sheng, working in an auditing firm. At night, we played bridge together... ha.
Hokkaido trip was fun and entertaining!! their food was great!! Ate raw crab's leg and scallops .. that was my first time happy times don last long.. let me show u the raw food... they were delicious!! haha.. Food was great but if you are afraid of raw food, you hardly get the appetite to eat more..
